Axis Signs LTD provides internal and external signage, digital printing, exhibition displays, window manifestation, vehicle graphics, building signwriting, and related installation services.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By requesting a quotation, placing an order, submitting payment, or approving artwork, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

3. Quotations & Orders

All quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

Orders begin only after written confirmation and approval of artwork proofs.

Prices may change if specifications, materials, or designs are altered after the initial quote.

4. Artwork, Design & Proof Approval

Customers must review all proofs carefully before giving final approval.

Axis Signs LTD cannot accept responsibility for spelling errors, colours, layout issues, or sizing inaccuracies once approved.

Colour reproduction may vary across different materials, printers, and lighting conditions.

Low-quality or incorrectly supplied artwork may affect print quality, for which Axis Signs LTD is not responsible.

5. Payment Terms

Payment terms are stated on invoices.

Deposits may be required prior to production.

Full payment must be made before collection, delivery, or installation unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Late payments may incur charges as permitted under UK law.

6. Installation & Workmanship Warranty (1 Year)

All installations are carried out with reasonable care and skill.

Workmanship issues must be reported within 12 months of completion and will be rectified at the discretion of Axis Signs LTD.

This workmanship warranty does not cover:

Accidental damage

Vandalism

Storm/weather damage

Pressure washing

Chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaning

Surfaces that fail due to age, rust, damp, loose paint, or unsuitable coatings

7. Manufacturer Material Warranties

Axis Signs LTD uses materials from reputable manufacturers (e.g., 3M, Avery Dennison, Metamark, Arlon, Oracal, etc.) which may include material-specific warranties.

Manufacturer warranty coverage includes:

Expected outdoor lifespan of vinyl films

UV stability and fade resistance within stated limits

Adhesive performance on suitable surfaces

Laminate and print durability when used as instructed

Important conditions:

Manufacturer warranties only apply if all installation, cleaning, and maintenance instructions are followed.

Warranties vary between materials, finishes, and environments (e.g., vehicle vinyl vs. window films vs. rigid signs).

Warranty terms differ for:

Cast, polymeric, and monomeric vinyl

Laminated vs. unlaminated prints

Short-term vs. long-term materials

Manufacturer warranties cover material failure, not:

Incorrect application surface

Impact or abrasion

Environmental damage (storms, UV extremes, chemicals)

Misuse or neglect

Axis Signs LTD will support customers with warranty claims, but the final decision lies with the material manufacturer.

8. Client Responsibilities for Surfaces & Conditions

The client is responsible for ensuring:

Surfaces are clean, smooth, dry, and free from silicone, wax, dust, rust, or flaking paint.

Vehicles are washed (but not waxed) before installation.

Adequate access is provided for installation (indoors where possible for vehicle work).

Necessary permissions are obtained for building or window installations.

Axis Signs LTD is not liable for adhesion issues on unsuitable surfaces or previously repaired, repainted, or deteriorating areas.

9. Vehicle Graphics & Wraps

Paintwork must be original, sound, and free from damage.

Axis Signs LTD is not responsible for paint lifting or cracking on resprayed, repaired, or aged panels.

Ghosting, fading, or residue may remain when graphics are removed.

Vehicles must not be jet-washed or aggressively cleaned for at least 7 days after installation.

10. External Signage, Weathering & Natural Wear

External signs and graphics will weather over time.

UV exposure, pollution, and environmental conditions may affect lifespan.

No signage material is fully “maintenance-free”; periodic cleaning is recommended.

Axis Signs LTD is not liable for deterioration caused by adverse weather, storms, high winds, or building movement.

11. Cancellations

Cancelled orders may incur charges for materials purchased or labour already completed.

Custom-made products cannot be refunded once production has begun.

12. Returns, Faults & Reporting Issues

Faults must be reported within 48 hours of collection or installation.

Items must be returned or made available for inspection before replacements or remedies are provided.

Axis Signs LTD’s liability is limited to repair or replacement of defective goods.

13. Customer Data

Customer details are collected only to process orders, communicate, or invoice.

Information is not shared with third parties except as required by law.

Data is handled in accordance with UK GDPR guidelines.

14. Liability

Axis Signs LTD is not liable for:

Loss of income, business interruption, or consequential damages

Failures resulting from unsuitable surfaces or client-supplied information

Damage after installation caused by cleaning, chemicals, or misuse

Liability is limited to the value of the goods supplied or necessary remedial work.

Unauthorised reproduction or distribution is prohibited.

16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England & Wales.

Any disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of UK courts.
